"In The Beginning" , Issue 1
is the first installment in a series of stories called Theories of An Elemental. It's a short graphic novel story that takes us through the highly spirited and emotional journey of an ancient Taino Chieftan as she discovers the impending doom of her people with the arrival of a new monster.
The graphic style is dark and fast paced. There are several emotional and non-physical spaces explored through choices in color and rendering, and we meet a hidden character about half way through the issue.
It's a quick read, that will set you up for the next installment, The Lion's Den, issue 2.
